After tearing through Number 12, I immediately had this one knocking on the inside of its shell, and went straight into it with really no break at all. My beta reader provided some good feedback, and I think it went from first page to published in less than three weeks.
This is a showbiz story about two actors: Cameron, a young woman with a regular TV gig, and Marco, the few-years-older man who gets a guest role on her series. BECAUSE NOVELLA this is not a heavy behind-the-scenes, how-it's-done thing; it's a love story.
This also contains a piece of Shakespearean-style writing that I did after seeing Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet, and because I wanted to include that, the whole piece is framed with a couple of scenes having to do with Shakespeare. The story is dedicated to my friend, Shakespeare aficionado (and the officiant of my wedding to Mr. P) Mark P. Muir.
TOWARD LOVE’s protagonists were first introduced to the world in my short novel MILLION DOLLAR DEATH. They have both grown up a lot since then.
