I am getting in a little late with this, owing to the eternal choice: spend a weekend actually writing, or spend it doing writing-related stuff other than writing. But here we go!
On sale for February, and promoted this month at Rainbow Romance Reads, are my F/M to F/M/M novella A SECRET CHORD and follow-up full-length M/M/F novel A BRAID OF LOVE. These two titles explore the complexities of relationships when the standard two-person combination doesn’t provide everything each person needs. Each can be read independently; choose A SECRET CHORD if you prefer the woman’s point of view.
Also on sale, my ‘it has to be February’ title BE MINE, starring teachers Kit and Valentine. This M/M novel concerns recovery from a violent sexual assault, which is not depicted on the page but is referred to repeatedly by various characters.
Aside from sales, what’s up? Well, I’m in the process of updating the review and ‘from the author’ segments in my listings on AMZ, which is not as easy as it should be, since some changes ‘take’ and others don’t. (I find this out when I view the product page and see that some old or poorly-formatted version of what I’ve entered is there. One cannot complain … much … about programming and processing glitches on a platform provided free to authors.) Anyway, this was on my ‘do in 2023’ list and I’m getting it done.
In the pipeline: I have a novel coming out with JMS Books fairly soon, and a short story not long after. I’ve got a completed novella to submit to them, and another novel for which I’ve just finished the beta draft. So there will be New Things to announce!
Also on the ‘do in 2023’ list is: launch on Smashwords. I’ll tell you all about it as soon as I have some content up there.
The other Big Publishing Thing I’m doing is preparing large-print paperback versions of selected novellas. These will initially be available on AMZ, and later - I hope - at another retailer. If you’re interested, the first up is REVIVAL, a F/M age-gap (older woman) romance featuring two legal professionals.
