a collection: From the Ashes

For April, I bring you a collection of three romance novellas featuring main characters who - well, the quick pitch would be ‘love after loss.’

Included are:

BENCHWORK (previously published - now exclusive to this collection)

A biological-clock romance. Charlene Daniels has a good life as an OB/GYN - but she wants her own baby, and she’s running out of time to meet the right man. When yet another prospective father doesn’t work out, she turns to the man beside her at the coffee shop. Juan Santiago lost his wife to a car accident. Charlene’s proposition is startling. But the woman herself is irresistible.

 BREATHING SPACE (previously published)

A M/M new-beginning romance. Accountant Paul Xiao is recovering from losing his husband to a five-year battle with cancer. When he returns to an old hobby - fine art miniatures - he meets painter Kevin Park. They both live in Los Angeles; it seems natural to meet for lunch, or coffee. Kevin makes his living as a yoga instructor. It seems natural for Paul to ask for help with his practice. They both know it’s a pretext.

 REVIVAL (never before published!)

A perfect-fit romance. One year after losing her husband to a heart attack, Serena thought the time was right to try dating again. Or maybe it was ‘now or never.’ The guy across the bar was talking fantasy sports with his friends. But then he sent the server around to ask if Serena would have dinner with him. Aaron wasn’t really expecting anything but dinner. He certainly didn’t expect to find the one thing his life was missing.

The main characters here are not linked by professions-in-common. We have a doctor + a jeweler; an accountant + a yoga instructor; and a billing manager + an attorney. Ages range from 36 (the doctor) to 55 (the accountant and the attorney). What these characters have in common is a second chance at love.

If that sounds like something you can believe in, click on over to Amazon. I’d love to hear from readers!
